It all started back in March at an art convention with our friend, J. She left the con with her sticker haul (and empty wallet). And to top it all off, she bought a DIY’d sticker album from that event.

J sat down at a nearby cafe to rest her weary feet. She laid out her sticker haul on the table and opened her new DIY sticker album. She was so excited to begin curating her new collection…

Only to discover that the pages weren’t meant for stickers. 🙁

She chalked it up to carelessness and continued to peel off the stickers. But they’d either rip up, curl, or lose their stickiness entirely. In the end, a large chunk of her precious collection was gone for good. 

J finally had enough. That’s when she decided to join forces with her friends to take matters into their own hands. If we can’t find the perfect sticker album, then we’ll make one!

We launched a survey to get insight into what our fellow sticker lovers wanted and needed. We searched high and low for covers that would be sleek yet customizable. 

One that had paper that let us easily move stickers from page to page…

One that was small enough to bring around, but large enough to hold the bigger stickers in our collection…

One that had enough pages for us to wrangle HUNDREDS of stickers in one place…

And, most importantly… one that wouldn’t destroy our priceless collection.

After months of testing, prototyping, QA’ing, printing, packaging, and lots of trial and error, we finally soft launched our first batch of albums last October 12-13 at Komiket 2019 in Centris Elements.

And that’s how we created StickerVault: sticker albums by sticker lovers for sticker lovers!
